La investigaci\u00f3n fue realizada en el municipio de Envigado, Colombia, evidenciando el papel fundamental de la participaci\u00f3n social y comunitaria en la respuesta efectiva al VIH.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El estudio <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1590\/interface.230152\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participaci\u00f3n social y comunitaria frente a la respuesta al virus de inmunodeficiencia humana (VIH)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, publicado en la revista <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interface <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(vol. 28, 2024), y el equipo de investigadores, liderado por Jair Eduardo Restrepo Pineda de la Corporaci\u00f3n Universitaria Minuto de Dios, realiz\u00f3 15 entrevistas semiestructuradas a diversos actores sociales e institucionales. El estudio evidencia que el estigma y la discriminaci\u00f3n siguen siendo barreras importantes para el acceso a servicios de salud, especialmente para hombres que tienen sexo con hombres y mujeres transg\u00e9nero (ONUSIDA; 2015; Cuadra-Hern\u00e1ndez <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">et al.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, 2012).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para ellos, es importante fortalecer las redes de apoyo comunitario y desarrollar estrategias innovadoras de educaci\u00f3n sexual que utilicen las redes sociales y otros medios de comunicaci\u00f3n alternativos (The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, 2019; Rodr\u00edguez-Garc\u00eda y Bonnel, 2012).
